ステロイドの使用と肩の痛みの関係　Relationship between steroid use and shoulder pain

肩の痛みの一つの原因として腱板損傷や腱板断裂があります。

ステロイドの使用が長期に渡ると腱が切れやすくなりますので、気管支喘息・リウマチ・アトピー性皮膚炎などでステロイドを使用している患者さんの場合にはその点に注意して診察する必要があります。

またその他の副作用として骨粗鬆症がありますので、腰痛の患者さんには注意します。

※ステロイド・・・正式名称を副腎皮質ホルモンといい、副腎という場所で作られる副腎皮質ホルモンに由来して作られた薬です。糖質コルチコイドと鉱質コルチコイドの２種類あり、糖質コルチコイドを構成するコルチゾンとコルチゾールという成分を化学合成したものが薬として使われます。炎症を起こすホスホリパーゼA２の働きを抑制させます。（因みにその次の過程で炎症を誘発する酵素のシクロオキシゲナーゼの働きを抑えるのがロキソニンやボルタレンなどの非ステロイド性解熱鎮痛薬です。）

作用は抗炎症、抗アレルギー、免疫抑制作用で、経口薬、外用薬、注射薬などがあります。
